For sale: Kidco HearthGate fireplace safety fence. Five 2' sections bend
and lock in 10-degree increments to fit square or odd-shaped fireplaces,
stoves, barbeques, etc. Center gate for access, lift-off wall
attachments on ends. Absolutely the best fireplace protection screen for
pets and children.

We've used this for two years to keep our twin toddlers away from a
stove insert, and it's done a wonderful job. (They're finally old enough
that we can go to a standard fireplace screen.) You can get additional
8-inch and 24-inch sections from KidCo to extend its length.

In like-new condition, ready to install. Presently has dark green
1/4-inch mesh attached to the gate and adjacent panels, to keep little
hands from reaching through. You can leave this on (it's pretty
attractive) or remove it in a few minutes if the basic fence is enough
protection.

Runs $180-200 at specialty stores and baby-safety stores. (Plus oversize
shipping if you buy it online.) $100.
