I just picked up a Sony receiver STR-G3 in a garage sale, but the unit has
no remote control. If you have one for sale or if you know where I can buy
one, please email me. Peter

Thanks James for your reply. I picked up a google article , 17 pages, where
a guy was explaining how to convert this "egg" visiontouch remote infrared
control used on this unit, to a different one. Hopefully he meant one that
you suggested. The article was from the year 2000. Maybe by now things got a
lot easier. What is this "egg" remote control anyway? I guess I have to keep
on looking, and check into this RS remote control you mentioned. Thanks for
your help..........Peter

Buy any multiple remote (for as little as $15 at Radio Shack) and one of
the Sony receiver settings in its library is likely to be a very good
match. Sony doesn't swap their control codes around as much as some
makers.

Peter,

It's Max from Natomas by Fry's. We have met several times. I have that Sony "Egg" but lost
the manual to it. It was like 35 bucks. It's yours for free if you want it. No manual though.

Hey Peter, My PC is at 1GB DDR Dual Channel and 2.6 GHz on the CPU.
I haven't been upgrading on that for awhile. I beat the PC upgrade addiction
somehow lol :-)

I sent you email.
